Founded in 1997 at the Escuela Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Cuarteto Casals celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2023. Since its foundation and the award of first prizes at the International String Quartet Competition in London and the International Johanne s Brahms Competition in Hamburg, literally the whole world has been able to convince itself that the Cuarteto Casals, with its distinctive tonal language and brilliance, is one of the best string quartets in the world.
