Isabelle Faust and Alexander Melnikov are two soloists who share a long standing chamber music partnership with each other. Not only do they perform as a duo, but they regularly form more extended chamber music ensembles with artists such as Jean Guihen Queyras, Antoine Tamestit, Anne Katherina Schreiber and many others. Faust and Melnikov have made an impressive collection of recordings together for Harmonia Mundi, among others presenting all Beethoven Sonatas, the Schubert Sonatas and all Brahms.
Every season Isabelle Faust and Alexander Melnikov go on tour together, sometimes as part of a bigger ensemble, with Jean-Guihen Queyras presenting piano trio programmes, or together as a duo. For 25/26 we have the following duo programme available:
Brahms: Sonata for Violin and Piano in E-flat major, Op. 120 No. 2
Webern: Four Pieces for Violin and Piano, Op. 7
Brahms: Sonata for clarinet or viola and piano in F minor, Op. 120 No. 1
Kurtág: Tre pezzi, Op. 14 e (for violin and piano)
Schumann: Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 2 in D minor, Op. 121
This programme tours from 03 - 12 November 2025
