BRODSKY GOES BREXIT

Whatever happens to Theresa May and whatever the outcome of the current turbulence around how and when the UK will be leaving the EU, the weekend of 30-31 March 2019 still marks the original date upon which the Brexit was to be a done deal. The farewell Europe programme which the Brodsky Quartet presents in Stadsgehoorzaal Leiden together with several pan-European musical friends is the start of new friendship. A riveting programme in the spirit of Last Post and Hope & Glory. So there is Elgar (who else!), Britten, Vaughan Willams, Frank Bridge, but also the early immigrant Händel and Schubert and Mendelssohn as exponents of the land on the other side of the Channel.
